What are the Worldwide Ireland Funds?

The Funds work in 12 countries and have raised over $500 million for more than 3,000 organisations. It is the largest private grant-making body to the island of Ireland and also supports foreign communities with links to the Irish diaspora. As a preeminent global philanthropy network it is focused on identifying, funding and mentoring causes in the areas of peace and reconciliation, education, arts and culture, health and community development.

As the largest network of the Irish diaspora, it hosts over 300 events across 39 cities a year and highlights include the St. Patrick’s Day dinner in Washington DC, the New York, Palm Springs and San Francisco Galas, the London Winter Ball, the Worldwide Conference in Ireland, the Sydney Garden Party and the biannual Monaco Gala weekend.

The Ireland Fund of Great Britain is responsible for all of the network's fundraising and grant-making activities across the UK. Additionally, it hosts many events and private meetings to connect its strong network of supporters. Peter Sutherland and Basil Geoghegan are its patrons.

What is The Young Leaders Society?

The Society brings together young professionals (aged 25-40yrs) to network and support the philanthropic work of The Worldwide Ireland Funds. It provides a forum for emerging philanthropists to become more involved with the organisation mission and with prominent business and civic leaders who support the organisation.
