Grant Workshops

The Ireland Funds Grant Workshops

From February 8 to 25, 2016, The Ireland Funds hosted 12 free grant workshops across Ireland on:

 “Making a Competitive Grant Application”

These workshops provided an opportunity for organisations to learn about our two grant programmes; the Small Grant Round and the Flagship Investment Grant Round.

These workshops provided insight into:

  • The grantmaking process of The Ireland Funds
  • Our core programme areas and funding priorities for 2016
  • Examples of strong versus weak applications
  • Tips on what makes a competitive grant application to both the Small Grant Round and the Flagship Investment Grant Round

Over 750 organisations signed up to attend our workshops in 2016 in Belfast, Castleisland, Drimoleague, Cork City, Waterford, Longford, Sligo, Derry/ Londonderry, Dublin, Galway and Limerick. Many thanks to all that attended.

Sincere thanks to all of our generous hosts throughout our 2016 workshop roadshow: The 174 Trust, The River Island Hotel, Top of the Rock Walking Centre, Nasc, Waterford Healing Arts Trust, Longford Women’s Link, Sligo County Childcare Development Centre, The Playhouse, Galway Arts Centre, Blue Box Creative Learning Centre and Mason, Hayes and Curran.
